Civil Engineer - Land Development

We are seeking a licensed professional engineer with land development design experience. As our firm continues to grow, we are seeking a talented individual who shares our commitment to providing the highest quality civil engineering services.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare design documents and manage multiple site development projects ranging from commercial, institutional, industrial, multi-family, etc.
  • Manage multiple projects in varying permitting and design phases, balancing responses, inquiries from clients, reviewing jurisdictions, etc.
  • Ensure all design documents and deliverables meet company standards for quality, accuracy, and completeness; and adhere to project specifications.
  • Maintain neat and organized project files and documentation.
  • Stay up to date with the latest software tools and techniques to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Perform all tasks in adherence to the Code of Ethics for engineers.
  • Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and safety guidelines.

Education & Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited college/university.
  • Minimum of five (5) years civil land development experience.
  • Active North Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil3D, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis software, and water distribution modeling software.
  • Project management experience in land development design of commercial, institutional, industrial, and/or multi-family projects.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Familiarity with municipal GIS websites, publicly available GIS data, etc.
  • Team oriented focus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot effectively.

Entry Level Civil Engineer - Land Development

We are seeking an entry level civil engineer with zero to three years of experience. This position is perfect for a new or recent graduate who wishes to gain site development experience on a variety of projects and who is eager to learn how to develop and manage business relationships. This person should enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, be a self-starter, and possess communication skills necessary to coordinate with staff, clients, and other working professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and detailed Civil3D generated design drawings, meeting quality standards and adhering to project specifications.

  • Conduct quality control checks on drawings to verify accuracy and completeness.

  • Maintain and organize data files, drawings, and project documentation.

  • Stay updated with the latest software tools and techniques to enhance productivity and efficiency.

  • Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited college/university.

  • 0-2 years of experience in the field of civil engineering

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in Civil3D.

  • Organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.

  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.

  • Familiarity with GIS software and knowledge of coordinate systems.
